At Master Flo, we are committed to advancing the field of choke technology and flow management solutions through our robust Research & Development (R&D) programs. As a privately-owned company with a singular focus on these critical areas, we have the resources and expertise to drive innovation. Our dedicated team of Design and Materials Engineers, with extensive industry experience, collaborates with customers to address real-world flow management challenges. This synergy enables us to develop cutting-edge technology and products that not only meet current industry needs but also anticipate and adapt to evolving complexities.
Our custom-built Hyperbaric Test System, located in Houston, stands as one of the largest in the United States. This facility allows us to test equipment at pressures equivalent to depths of up to 23,000 feet (7,000 meters) below sea level, reaching pressures of 10,000 PSI (690 bar). By insourcing this critical testing operation, we reduce the risks and costs associated with product qualification. Master Flo also offers the use of our Hyperbaric Test System and our expertise in hyperbaric testing to our customers and partners, providing a cost-effective alternative to sea tests.
Our Cv test rack is designed to accommodate flow rates exceeding 6000 GPM. Equipped with advanced data acquisition software, it monitors essential parameters such as flow rate, upstream pressure, pressure differential, valve position, and temperature. This system ensures compliance with ISA standards for valve capacity testing, providing valuable insights into product performance.
Our custom-designed erosion test facility is engineered to replicate the real-world conditions of wells with abrasive media. Capable of handling adjustable, continuous sand-slurry mixtures at pressures up to 5000 psi and flow rates of up to 168 GPM, this facility allows us to assess the durability and resilience of our products under extreme conditions.
Our in-house acoustic chamber is dedicated to IEC 534-8 testing, allowing us to compare actual noise levels to theoretical predictions. This controlled environment ensures that our products meet stringent acoustic standards, contributing to quieter and more efficient operations.
Our controlled-temperature chamber plays a crucial role in our testing processes, adhering to API-6A Appendix-FPR2 and API-17D specifications. With the ability to operate within temperature ranges from -60°F to over 650°F, it allows us to assess product performance across a wide spectrum of environmental conditions.
Our commitment to research and development is a testament to our dedication to delivering the highest quality and most innovative flow management solutions to our customers.
