We are proud to announce that our president and CEO, Mark McNeill, has been named EY Entrepreneur Of The Year® 2023 Prairies Overall Award winner.
McNeill received the award at an event in Calgary, where he and 11 other notable entrepreneurs from the region were vying for the honour.
“Recognized as a trailblazer in the energy industry, McNeill turned a wellhead manufacturing company into a transformative business that’s achieving sustainable and incremental growth across North America,” said EY Entrepreneur Of The Year Prairies Program Co-Director Rob Jolley following the ceremony. “He brings purpose-driven leadership, demonstrated with a strong focus on ESG, a commitment to ethical oil production and active support of the local communities where Stream-Flo operates.”
Developing energy in a responsible manner
Citing the expansion of our choke, actuation, and pressure control expertise into the realm of emerging energy technologies, along with our work equipping decarbonization efforts, the selection committee also noted the pioneering role our group of companies is playing when it comes to providing wellhead and choke technology to support energy production in developing nations.
“I firmly believe if we allow these nations to have the energy security and independence some of us have benefitted from, the world will be better and our emission targets will be reached quicker,” said McNeill after winning. “I am excited to continue putting ourselves forward as the partners of choice when it comes to the development of energy in a responsible manner.”
Sticking with responsibility, EY lauded our overall ESG efforts in naming McNeill this year’s prairies winner. They highlighted how we prioritize ethical and responsible actions, emphasize meaningful engagement with our Indigenous neighbours, and have implemented resource-saving measures across our operations. All of which fall firmly under our Guiding Principles.
Upon winning, McNeill extended his sincere gratitude to all Stream-Flo Group staff.
“An award such as this isn’t possible without our people,” said the president and CEO. “We have approximately 9,231 years of combined total service amongst our current staff across the Group of Companies. It is the expertise and experience contained within these years of service, that has set us apart and led to our success. Success that now includes an honour such as this.”
